This Day in History - June 20: Elvis Presley performs one of final concerts before his death in Lincoln

June 20, 1977 - Elvis Presley performed one of his final concerts at the Pershing Auditorium in Lincoln on June 20, 1977.

The day before, Elvis performed in Omaha, and the concert was recorded for a CBS television special. The crew also wanted to attend the Lincoln performance, but the manager for Pershing Auditorium wouldn’t allow it.

The TV special aired in August, 1977, after the singer’s death.
