Scottsbluff fire causes $50,000 in damage

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNOP) - The City of Scottsbluff Fire Department was called for a structure fire near Fifth Avenue and East 11th Street on Saturday.
According to the fire department, the fire was reported shortly after 3 p.m. The fire department said the fire started due to an electrical failure in the attic. The fire was under control with in 10 minutes.
The house sustained around $50,000 in damage and one person was treated for minor burns, but refused transport to a local hospital.
Two adults and one infant were displaced due to the fire.
NPPD, Regional West EMS, CERT Black Hills Energy, and Gering Fire Department also responded to the fire.
