Brady Public Schools cancels classes due road closure from Cottonwood Fire

LINCOLN, Neb. (KNOP) - Brady Public Schools cancelled classes on Monday due to a road closure from the Cottonwood Fire.

BPS said that the roads south of town had been closed, so the school could not safely run their bus routes. Likewise, BPS said that many of their students and staff who live south of town are currently helping with fire response efforts, monitoring hot spots and caring for livestock.

As such, BPS officials decided that Monday would be a non-student day.
