NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - Investigators with the Nebraska State Patrol conducted alcohol compliance checks at several businesses in Furnas County on Monday evening.

In total, 10 businesses were checked. Three of those businesses sold alcohol to a minor for a compliance rate of 70%. All businesses checked the minor’s identification before sale.

The businesses checked included convenience stores, grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores and bars.

Businesses that sell alcohol to minors are referred to the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission. Clerks who sell alcohol to minors are cited for procuring alcohol to a minor.

The project was not grant funded.
